Michael Melamed

Michael Melamed is a producer and assistant director who hails from the Garden State. He is a seasoned artist with a long list of impressive credits, including working on visual effects for the blockbuster Star Trek and as assistant director for The Man from Earth and The Mothman Prophecies. Coming from a theater family, it’s no wonder the entertainment industry is in his blood. He has turned his love for the movies into an amazing career! What is the key to finding success in the entertainment industry?

“Working well with cast and crew members, finding solutions to solving problems as they arise instantaneously, and having a long career by keeping contacts and doing your job well.”

What inspired you to want to pursue an entertainment career?

“A few things. My parents acted in community theater, my brothers also acted or built and painted sets in community theater, and I used to run the lightboard in our local theater. I loved watching movies growing up and still do, and mostly, I love watching behind the scenes of how movies and TV shows are made.”

How would you compare your experiences with First Entertainment with other financial institutions that you have banked with?

“I enjoy First Entertainment banking more than my other institution because it is a smaller bank, and the tellers are always nice and say hello and start up a conversation. I always had a smile seeing the same bank associate teller, which was nice. The ease of digital banking and customer service is excellent.”

What has your experience been like using our digital banking?

“It has been great! I can do banking at home, at work, or on location with digital banking. Finding locations on the website of where I can bank if I need to in person while on locations is very helpful.”
