What is the key to finding success in the entertainment industry?

“Luck! Okay, there’s a lot more factors to it than that, but a lot of it is luck. But the real key is perseverance. We all want everything to happen overnight and to suddenly wake up rich and famous. For most of us, it’s going to be a slower process. You have to get used to waiting, you have to get used to slow periods, and above all, you have to get used to rejection.”

What inspired you to want to pursue voice acting?

“I’ve been interested in acting from a young age, and when I realized voice acting was a job you could do, I’d practice different voices. However, I didn’t think it was something I could actually achieve. Later, I found a voice coach and started getting bookings on projects like Quantum Leap and Fire Emblem Heroes. It feels so dramatic to say, but acting really saved my life. What inspires me now is that I might be able to help someone similarly. I’ve been at a place where it felt like there was no way things would ever get better. I want to tell others in that position that they’re not alone, and even getting through each day is something worth celebrating.”
