What is the key to finding success in the entertainment industry?
“Know your craft well, and be willing to learn all aspects of filmmaking. Working freelance for the last 18 years has given me a complete base of experience. I’ve spent much of my time developing new techniques, then sharing my knowledge to contribute to the camera department, lighting, production, visual effects, post-production, and other areas.”
What inspired you to want to pursue an entertainment career?
“I have always been interested in movies and emerging technology and how they intersect. And since 2001, I managed to apprentice under some of the best image makers in the world, and I’ve become a man of many niches — a digital image technician, phantom tech, stereo 3D specialist, dailies colorist, drone operator, and more for projects ranging from commercials to $200 million studio features.”
