Veteran SAG-AFTRA actor Alyson Stover’ passion for acting began when she was young. She would spend time with her mother, a former professional model and theatrical entertainer in the Army during World War II, watching movies and listening to her mother’s glamorous tales of entertainment life. This backdrop of storytelling and movie-watching laid the foundation for Alyson’s professional future. Her journey in the industry started at age four when she appeared regularly on the popular children’s TV program “Romper Room.” As a teenager, she worked at a movie theater, which further solidified her desire to act. After college, Alyson moved to Hollywood and took acting classes in the evening while working on the corporate side of the industry during the day, including roles at Fox Broadcasting and Sony Pictures. Today Alyson works as a full-time actor in commercials, film, and television. She says banking at First Entertainment makes her feel financially secure, and we are honored to be a part of her financial life.

What is the key to finding success in the entertainment industry?

“Loving what we do! And a strong work ethic and attitude, perseverance, dedication, the ability to get along with people from all walks of life, knowing how to be part of a team, not taking things personally, and the belief that what we do makes a difference, no matter how small of a role or position. Believing in magic and a little luck also helps!”

What inspired you to want to pursue an entertainment career?

“Watching the joy and pleasure my mom experienced as we spent hours watching movies late into the night when I was a child. She would regale me with glamorous tales of being a John Robert Powers Model in New York City, which led to her procuring a position with the Army in the Pacific Theater during WWII. As a teen, I worked at a movie theater selling tickets, serving popcorn and candy, and watching all of the movies for free! Performing in my 6th grade operetta, Trial By Jury, solidified what I knew early on, that I wanted to be an actor in Hollywood. I am realizing my dreams of making magic on movie and television sets. With magic and a little luck, I look forward to what my next 20 years hold! Having First Entertainment Credit Union by my side, I know that I am financially secure.”
