First Entertainment Credit Union Participates in Women in Entertainment’s 9th Annual Summit
First Entertainment Credit Union joined entertainment industry leaders and creators as a sponsor of the 9th Annual Women in Entertainment Summit, held June 9, 2026, at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles.
The summit brought together creatives from across film, television, media, and technology for a full day of keynote conversations focused on leadership, career growth, and storytelling innovation, designed to support women working throughout the entertainment industry.
Through its continued involvement in creative-focused initiatives, First Entertainment remains committed to supporting professionals throughout every stage of their careers.
“At First Entertainment, we’re proud to support conversations and communities that champion leadership and connection across the entertainment industry,” said Janet Gaspard, Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer at First Entertainment. “The Women in Entertainment Summit creates an inspiring space for meaningful dialogue, and we’re honored to support the talented professionals helping move these important conversations forward.”
The 2026 summit featured appearances from entertainment industry leaders including filmmaker Paul Feig; Executive Vice President and Head of Scripted Entertainment at FOX Entertainment Studios Hannah Pillemer; actor, writer, and showrunner Anna Konkle; and actor, writer, and producer Sherry Cola.
Discussions throughout the summit explored topics including financial empowerment and wealth-building, technological innovation in storytelling, and the rapid rise of emerging content formats. Through conversations with leading creatives and executives, attendees gained insight into navigating career growth and long-term sustainability in the entertainment industry.
During the summit, Paul Feig shared his perspective on collaboration and longevity in entertainment, emphasizing the importance of supporting creative voices and building inclusive spaces within the industry.
“Your course is your course. You can’t copy someone else’s course. You have to be driven. You have to listen to what [industry executives] are saying because there is something in there. They are giving you the opportunity, but they are nothing without you. You’ve got the talent, you’ve got the story.”
Sherry Cola also delivered a mic-drop moment, offering advice to emerging creatives that emphasized resilience and confidence in a constantly evolving entertainment landscape.
“Stay ready so you don’t have to get ready.”
First Entertainment’s sponsorship of the Women in Entertainment Summit reflects the organization’s ongoing commitment to supporting the entertainment community through meaningful collaborations, industry engagement, and resources tailored to the unique needs of entertainment professionals.
