What is Happening?

 

We’re excited to announce that we are upgrading the rewards platform and experience for those who have a personal First Entertainment Visa® Platinum Credit Card opened prior to February 23, 2021.

Notice

Visa Platinum Credit accounts opened February 23, 2021 or after will not earn rewards.

Visa Platinum Credit Card Accounts opened February 23, 2021 or later are not eligible for the rewards program. For members who prefer to earn rewards for their purchases, consider our new cash back rewards credit card. For more information or to apply, visit our Preferred Cash Visa page.

 

We understand that having the latest features, technology, and rewards is important to our cardholders, so we want to make you aware of some important changes and enhancements that impact your account. Some of the new features we will be introducing with this upgrade include:

  • A brand-new rewards website, optimized for both mobile and desktop viewing and accessible through the Digital Banking Visa Rewards widget.
  • New catalog items and same day reward redemption with in-store pickup available at Best Buy®!
  • An enhanced and modernized travel booking platform.
  • A new toll-free support center for rewards program questions and redemption.
  • And much, much more!

 

What Do I need to Do?

There is nothing you need to do at this time. Your existing Visa Platinum Credit Card will function as usual and you will continue to earn points during the transition period with no interruption.

Nevertheless, for cardholders with accounts opened on or before February 22, 2021, there are some important dates cardholders need to be aware of:

  • February 28, 2021: This is the last date to redeem your points on the existing platform. 1 However, you are not required to redeem points before this date. If you have points remaining after this date, they will be available for you to redeem on the upgraded platform.
     
    Logging in to the Rewards website (curewards.com) with a user ID and password to access your rewards will no longer be supported. We will only allow access to your Rewards through Digital Banking after this date.
     
  • March 1 – 10, 2021: The rewards redemption website will be unavailable between these dates and you will not be able to redeem any of your points during this time.
     
  • March 11, 2021: The upgraded rewards platform is live! If you did not redeem all your points on the old platform prior to February 28th, those points will have automatically carry-over to the upgraded platform and are available for viewing and redemption via Digital Banking only.

  • What is happening to my account?

    The credit card rewards platform associated with your Visa Platinum Credit Card is being upgraded and we are introducing new ways to redeem your points.

  • What are the important dates for me to know?

    February 28, 2021: This is the last date to redeem your points on the existing platform - if you wish to do so.1 However, you are not required to redeem points before this date. If you have points remaining after this date, they will automatically carry over and be available for you to redeem on the upgraded platform.
     

    To redeem your points on the current platform, please visit the CURewards Website. Additionally, if you use a user ID and password at www.curewards.com to access your rewards, you will no longer be able to do so after this date. Beginning March 11, 2021, you will only be able to access your Rewards through Digital Banking.
     

    March 1 – 10, 2021: The rewards redemption website will be unavailable between these dates and you will not be able to redeem any of your points. If you will need to redeem points during this time, we encourage you to do so prior to March 1, 2021.
     

    March 11, 2021: The upgraded rewards platform is live! If you did not redeem all your points on the old platform prior to February 28th, those points will have automatically carried-over to the upgraded platform and are now available again for you to view and redeem.

  • Will there be any interruption in my access to the existing rewards platform?

    You will be unable to redeem your points between March 1 – March 10, 2021. On March 11th any accumulated points on the old platform will be available for you to view and redeem on the upgraded platform.
     

    Your existing credit card will function as usual and you will continue to earn points during this time period with no interruption.

  • What will happen to my Points?

    Any unused points on the old platform will transfer automatically and be available for you to view and redeem on the upgraded platform on March 11, 2021.

  • Will I lose my points if I don’t redeem before the upgrade?

    No. Your existing points will automatically transfer over and will be accessible on the new platform beginning March 11, 2021.

  • When is the last date to redeem points on the existing rewards platform?

    The last date to redeem on the existing platform is February 28, 2021.1 Any unredeemed points transfer over the upgraded platform automatically and can be redeemed starting March 11th.

  • Do I need to enroll/re-enroll on the new rewards platform?

    No. You will be automatically enrolled.

  • How do I access the new rewards platform?

    The rewards site will be accessible through the Visa Rewards widget in Digital and Mobile Banking, already connected to your credit card account. There is no need for a separate login ID or password.
     

    Please note: If you access the rewards redemption site using a User ID and password through curewards.com, you will no longer be able to use this method after February 28, 2021 and will need to access the rewards redemption site via Digital Banking.

  • Will my Points still expire after 4 years?

    Yes, your Points still expire after four (4) years (48 months) from the date of issuance – the same way they did prior to the upgrade.

  • What new features are available on the upgraded platform?

    The upgraded rewards website will be optimized for both mobile and desktop viewing. We will have a new integration with Best Buy® which will enable you to redeem your points and arrange for a same-day, in-store pickup. The new site offers an enhanced, modernized travel booking platform and new catalogue items to choose from.

  • Does the program offer additional travel options?

    Yes. You will have unparalleled options and flexibility in travel rewards on the new platform, including access to redeem points for tickets on 180 different airlines, major cruise lines, and over 130,000 hotel and resort properties worldwide. Plus, you'll receive personalized service to help you design precisely the travel experience you want.

  • Are entertainment options available to me?

    Yes. You can redeem your points for a variety of events, including live events and amusement parks. In addition, the platform often offers exclusive tickets and access to sold-out concerts, games, and events.

  • How does the product rewards catalog compare to the old platform?

    You now have access to thousands of top-selling, in-demand products direct from the inventory of top retailers like Best Buy®. In other words, products available to retail shoppers are also available to you. You don't have to settle for a limited selection.

  • What are the gift card options?

    Gift cards are available from hundreds of companies, spanning major retailers, entertainment, travel, home improvement, and top brands. Here is just a small sampling:
