ACCOUNTANT                                                     (Hollywood : FULL-time)

Under the supervision of the Controller, the Accountant is responsible for maintaining accounting practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting while adhering to tight deadlines. The Accountant will perform a variety of complex accounting duties requiring knowledge and application of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the credit union’s policies and procedures.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assists in the preparation and distribution of the credit union’s financial and management reports.
  • Assists in accurate and timely preparation of the NCUA quarterly Call report.
  • Prepares all monthly journal entries relating to the credit union’s lending portfolio and performs timely reconciliations.
  • Assists in month-end close process.
  • Tracks and reports activities on other real estate owned and assets in process of liquidation.
  • Assists in the preparation of tax returns.
  • Assists in the preparation of financial information for all internal and external audits.
  • Performs timely and accurate reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accounts for management’s review and approval.
  • Reviews and updates standard operating procedures and identifies improvements for efficiency and internal controls.
  • Provides analytical and administrative support to special projects.

This full-time, exempt position has work hours generally between 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday.   

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance, or extensive experience in financial accounting and reporting.
  • Minimum of five (5) years accounting experience at credit union or financial institution including 1-2 years experience in preparation of financial statements.
  • Strong working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial accounting/reporting.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office program, including Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of financial institution regulations strongly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Symitar for Windows (Episys) experience highly desirable.

ASSISTANT BRANCH MANAGER                                          (Burbank : FULL-time)

The Branch Supervisor or Assistant Branch Manager will be involved in overseeing the daily operations of the branch. Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in assisting members with teller, new accounts or loan transactions.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assist the Branch Manager with the effective and efficient performance of Branch sales, service and operations.
  • Assist the Branch Manager in the effective supervision, coaching, directing, and appraising of staff.
  • Supervise work scheduling and workflow on daily operations.
  • Ensure operations are conducted in accordance with established policies, procedures and guidelines and within legal and regulatory requirements.

This full-time, non-exempt position has work hours generally between 8:15 AM to 5:15 PM, Monday - Thursday, and either 8:15 AM -5:15 PM or 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM on Friday; flexibility for Friday hours required. Saturday hours 8:45 AM – 2:15 PM.

Requirements: 

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum of four years of related experience with a full-time financial institution.

CONTACT CENTER SPECIALIST                                       (Hollywood : part-time)

This Specialist position provides telephone member service covering a variety of functions, including but not limited to: answering member inquiries, solving account issues and fulfilling transfers concerning a member's account while maintaining confidentiality and security of member information. May assist in additional departmental support tasks as needed; will cross-sell credit union products and services. A pleasant and calm personality, the ability to handle difficult callers, and the desire to learn about credit union products and services are a must.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Receive member calls, listen attentively, determine the nature of business and processes appropriate transaction(s). Respond to inquiries and questions or direct them as necessary. Records and relays messages efficiently.
  • Handle a variety of issues concerning member accounts.
  • Present, explain, and cross-sell Credit Union services and products to members and assist in meeting their financial needs.
  • Reconcile daily transaction activity in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ensure members' requests and questions are promptly resolved.
  • Review and keep abreast of all policy and procedural changes relating to the position.
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining effective, professional business relations with members, co-workers, other department personnel and management.
  • Maintains privacy of member account information.

This part-time, non-exempt position has 20 work hours per week: Mondays – Thursdays 1:15 PM to 515 PM, and Fridays 2:15 PM - 6:15 PM.  

Requirements: 

  • High school graduate or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 6 months of work-related skill, knowledge and experience in customer service, call center or in a high-volume call environment. Basic understanding of Credit Union operations is a plus.

FINANCIAL ANALYST                                            (Hollywood : FULL-time)

This Analyst position provides broad-based accounting and analytical support to the Finance Manager, Vice President Accounting & Finance, Controller and the Accounting Manager. This position reports to the Finance Manager.

  • Financial statement analysis.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting.
  • Operational, financial and product level analyses

  • Four-year college degree in accounting, business or related field preferred, or the equivalent in related work experience and training.
  • Four years credit union or financial institution accounting experience, including financial statement preparation.
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and accounting methods, including cost accounting.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, intermediate Word and Outlook skills, Microsoft Access skills highly desirable.

HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST                                   (Hollywood : FULL-time)

The Human Resources Generalist is a liaison for managers and employees in the areas of employee relations, employment and with a special emphasis on staffing. This position functions as the staffing focal point, overseeing all recruitment and employment activities, including terminations and resignations, in a timely manner. Advises managers and employees on human resources issues, policies, procedures and practices while developing strong partnerships with all departments in an effort to positively influence organizational performance and results.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Advising managers and employees on human resources issues, policies, procedures and practices while developing strong partnerships with all departments in an effort to positively influence organizational performance and results.
  • Actively recruit and perform other employment activities, including onboarding and resignations in a timely manner.
  • Administering leave of absences.
  • Providing enthusiastic leadership and sound guidance to our staff.

  • Minimum two years experience in Human Resources of broad-based Human Resources experience, including employee relations experience; payroll experience required.

NETWORK ENGINEER                                      (Hollywood : FULL-time)

The Network Engineer is responsible for the configuration, security, and monitoring of the organization’s network. This position will be responsible for routing/switching hardware, cabling, backup software, disaster recovery/redundancy, and system monitoring/deployment/logging tools.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing network technical support by configuring, maintaining, upgrading, updating, and monitoring the data center servers, both physical and virtual.
  • Configuring, maintaining, and patching the Credit Union’s internal routers, switches, terminal servers and other networking equipment.
  • Performing backups, maintaining the backup library, test backup/recovery procedures.
  • Software Maintenance and licensing; assisting with software/hardware deployments; assisting the Network Administrator to assure software licensing compliance.
  • Assisting with network security audits and remediation.
  • Maintaining the data center’s cable plant, power systems and fire suppression systems.
  • Assisting the Information Services staff with help desk tickets.

This full-time, non-exempt position has work hours generally between 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM; some flexibility and evening or weekend hours required.

Requirements: 

  • A minimum of four years experience as a network technician/engineer or equivalent.
  • Network certification from Microsoft, Symantec, IBM, a plus.
  • AS in Computer Science or equivalent education required.
  • Occasional travel will be required to the disaster site, currently Las Vegas, NV.

PARTICIPATION LOAN COORDINATOR                                 (Hollywood : FULL-time)

This position is responsible for preparing and maintaining detailed reports for various loan classes including commercial real estate, residential real estate, business, and consumer and for ensuring regulatory compliance. This position is responsible for tracking annual loan reviews, post-closing trailing documents and other items related to loans purchased by the Credit Union. This position is also responsible for coordinating First Entertainment annual reviews for business loans. This position is responsible for interfacing with other members of the staff, management team, loan loss committee, accounting department, and the Credit Union’s approved vendors

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Responsibilities include financial documentation tracking, portfolio quality control, audit of loan files, monitor current loans to ensure compliance with loan covenants, problem resolution, analyzing and making recommendations on all asset management functions after the loan has closed.
  • Ensure annual loan reviews are completed in accordance with Firstent policy and guidelines.
  • Send out letters, emails, and make follow-up calls to collect borrower information needed to complete annual loan reviews.
  • Coordinate timely annual loan reviews with third-party underwriters.
  • Track all outstanding post-funding (AKA trailing) documents to ensure timely receipt.
  • Make follow-up calls and send emails to collect documents as needed.
  • Ensure participation agreements are fully executed and have received legal review.
  • Perform an ongoing evaluation and quality control of the participation loan files and offer suggestions to the VP Lending regarding the quality of file documentation process and ways to improve it.
  • Provide support to other lending departments as needed. Perform assigned tasks to assist as needed when departments are short-staffed or experiencing a surge in activity that exceeds the capacity of the staff in place.

This full-time position has work hours generally between 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday; some flexibility is required.   

Requirements: 

  • A minimum of three years of work-related experience. Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possess thorough knowledge of the participation loan process.
  • Ability to perform market research to obtain current market rents, cap rates, and vacancy rates, to assess property values, calculate debt service coverage ratios, and compare subject properties with other like properties in the area (local and nationwide).
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable NCUA and DFI lending regulations.
  • Attention to detail and organization.
  • Advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook.

REAL ESTATE CLERK                                            (Hollywood : FULL-time)

The Real Estate Clerk will provide member service to real estate loan applicants and borrowers, who may call, walk-in or write to the Real Estate Department.  This person will provide members with information regarding real estate and home equity loan products and services; review loan applications to ensure completeness, and assist in the cross-selling of products; perform transactions for existing borrowers, and provide clerical support to the department staff and manager.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting and assisting members by phone or in person; answering routine questions regarding real estate and home equity loans; routing more complex calls to appropriate staff, dept or manager.
  • Accepting and reviewing application packages for completeness.
  • Performs a variety of clerical tasks as assigned, such as:sorting and delivering incoming mail and faxes to department staff, inventory and order supplies.manage laser printer checks, collate Real   Estate application packages (1st Mortgages, HELOCs, and Equity Juniors), sends application packages to branches upon request, faxes documents to members, branches or others as needed, and assists photocopying, and other related clerical tasks.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position with work hours generally between 8:30 AM to 5:15 PM with overtime, as needed. 

Requirements: 

  • High school diploma, vocational training, job-related course work or related work experience required.
  • Minimum of one to two years previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience in an office setting is required.
  • Minimum of one to two years of prior knowledge of real estate loan servicing is preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic clerical procedures and systems.
