Junior Financial Analyst [Full-Time]

This Analyst position provides broad-based accounting and analytical support to the Vice President Finance/CFO, Controller and the Accounting Manager. This position reports to the Controller.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing lending related accounting and analysis.
  • Preparing, reconciling and reporting all lending general ledger accounts.
  • Partnering with the Real Esate Department staff, sub-servicing company and lending partners.
  • Assists in preparation of financial statements and reports, including, but not limited to, Board reports and the 5300 Call Report.
  • Provides budget and forecast assistance to the VP Lending and/or VP Finance/CFO
  • Review and keep abreast of all policy and procedural changes relating to the position.
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining effective, professional business relations with members, co-workers, other department personnel and management.

This full-time, non-exempt position has work hours generally between 8:15 AM to 5:15 PM, Monday - Thursday, and either 8:15 AM - 5:15 PM or 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM on Friday; flexibility for Friday hours required, as the credit union is open longer on that day.  

Requirements: 

  • Four-year college degree in accounting, business or related field preferred, or the equivalent in related work experience and training.
  • Four years credit union or financial institution accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principals and accounting methods, including cost accounting.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, intermediate Word and Outlook skills, Microsoft Access skills highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Symitar for Windows (Episys) experience highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of accounting for loans and previous lending analysis strongly preferred.
  • Knowldge of financial institution regulations highly desirable.
  • Good verbal/written communication skills (face-to-face, oral, written and electronic), ability to read speak, and write clearly to convey information effectively.
  • Possess good interpersonal skills to work well with co-workers.
  • Ability to provide accurate information to co-workers and manager.
  • Ability to learn and retain new information for performing job functions.
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. Ability to pay close attention to detail including problem-solving skills to effectively research, investigate and offer solutions to various issues.

Contact Center Specialist [Part-Time]    (Hollywood)

This Specialist position provides telephone member service covering a variety of functions, including but not limited to: answering member inquiries, solving account issues and fulfilling transfers concerning a member's account while maintaining confidentiality and security of member information. May assist in additional departmental support tasks as needed; will cross-sell credit union products and services. A pleasant and calm personality, the ability to handle difficult callers, and the desire to learn about credit union products and services are a must.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Receive member calls, listen attentively, determine the nature of business and processes appropriate transaction(s). Respond to inquiries and questions or direct them as necessary. Records and relays messages efficiently.
  • Handle a variety of issues concerning member accounts.
  • Present, explain, and cross-sell Credit Union services and products to members and assist in meeting their financial needs.
  • Reconcile daily transaction activity in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ensure members' requests and questions are promptly resolved.
  • Review and keep abreast of all policy and procedural changes relating to the position.
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining effective, professional business relations with members, co-workers, other department personnel and management.
  • Maintains privacy of member account information.

This part-time, non-exempt position has 20 work hours per week: Mondays – Thursdays 1:15 PM to 515 PM, and Fridays 2:15 PM - 6:15 PM.  

Requirements: 

  • High school graduate or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 6 months of work-related skill, knowledge and experience in customer service, call center or in a high-volume call environment. Basic understanding of Credit Union operations is a plus.
  • Great customer service and sales skills. Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Good verbal/written communication skills (face-to-face, oral, written and electronic), ability to read speak, and write clearly to convey information effectively.
  • Ability to understand of Credit Union's field of membership.
  • Good knowledge of Credit Union products and services. Understanding of Credit Union policies and guidelines.
  • Ability to learn or knowledge of branch operations or lending functions, policies, and procedures.
  • Possess good interpersonal skills to work well with co-workers.

This Teller position is responsible for providing a variety of functions, including but not limited to: paying and receiving functions, including processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashier's checks, and transfers concerning a member's account while maintaining confidentiality and security of member information. May assist in branch balancing, perform additional branch support tasks, and assists other Tellers with intermediate teller functions as needed; will cross-sell credit union products and services.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Receive members, determine the nature of business and processes appropriate transaction(s).
  • Responsible for cash drawer specified limits, balancing and closing cash drawer on a daily basis.
  • Present, explain, and cross-sell Credit Union services and products to members and assist in meeting their financial needs.
  • Ensure members' requests and questions are promptly resolved.
  • Review and keep abreast of all policy and procedural changes relating to the position.
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining effective, professional business relations with members, co-workers, other department personnel and management.
  • Interfaces with membership . Respond to inquiries and questions or direct them as necessary. Records and relays messages efficiently.
